The RNVG boasts a robust design, setting it apart as the most durable night vision goggle currently available.

Unlike most NVGs that feature polymer housings, the RNVG utilizes a 7075 aluminum chassis for unparalleled strength and rigidity. All points of articulation have been reinforced to enhance impact resistance, making it a tough choice for users.

Meticulously crafted at AB Night Vision, this Ruggedized Night Vision Goggle is built to withstand even the most demanding customers and environments. To ensure top-notch performance without compromising on optics, this model incorporates US Milspec Noctis Technologies lenses (formerly Carson Industries).

Unlike lightweight lens systems, these lenses offer no trade-offs in terms of reduced eyebox viewing window, lens flaring, or distracting light rings. The RNVG addresses a common weakness in night vision goggles - the joint where the optic pods meet the bridge. To fortify this crucial area, both the pods and bridge are precision-machined from solid billet 7075 (a material that is 36% stronger than most common steel), to give end users the strongest NVG on the market. 

Careful design and advanced machining keep the weight down to 20 oz. with a battery installed.

Users familiar with PVS-14 goggles will appreciate the intuitive controls, with identical switch and focusing functions. The switch, with 3 positions (Off, On, and On with IR illuminator), does not cut power to the tubes when changing positions. Additionally, the RNVG offers IR signaling and a safety feature where the switch must be pulled out to activate the IR illuminator. For extended range, an IR spot/flood adapter can be attached.
