Description:
The ELF-FB 20 Enhanced Thermal Fusion Goggle is a compact dual-band night vision binocular combining 18 mm image intensifier technology with a 640 × 512 thermal imaging sensor in a single helmet-mounted system. Designed as an evolution of earlier fusion platforms, the FB20 provides conventional image-intensified night vision alongside real-time thermal information to improve environmental awareness and detection capability in challenging lighting and visibility conditions.
At the heart of the system is a 640 × 512, 12 μm infrared detector providing a 24° × 20° thermal field of view. Thermal information can be presented through selectable fusion modes, including Highlight and Outline, allowing thermal signatures to be overlaid onto the intensified night vision image rather than requiring the user to transition between separate night vision and thermal devices.
The night vision system retains a natural 1× magnification and 40° field of view, with compatibility for standard 18 mm MX10160 and MX11769-format image intensifier tubes.
